Description:
This is one of those many knock-to-get-in bars hidden about Barcelona. This particular one is located in probably what is one of the dodgiest streets of Raval. I don't exactly know what it is that attracts me to this place. Maybe I am just a sucker for these sort of hidden places, but the fact is that the atmosphere in this place is excellent. People are extremely friendly, most of them are locals and a few students who have studied the Barcelona nightlife for a while.
Sundays are my favourite nights. At about 21:00, there is a flamenco jam. A room full of people and smoke (not only cigarette smoke) enjoys true flamenco music played by excellent musicians. Gypsies, hippies or the regular Joan are habitual customers on this night. On Wednesdays, there is also a jazz jam session with a similar atmosphere. |
